Tender for Balance of System for over 1GW of solar projects in MP

The NHDC has issued tender inviting bids for Balance of System EPC work for 1035 MW of solar projects in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The bid submission deadline is 12 October 2020.


The NHDC Limited has issued a tender inviting interested bidder for a balance of system (BOS) engineering, procurement, and construction work of solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 1,035 MW of projects spread at various locations in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

These projects will be spread across locations like Agar, Shajapur, and Neemuch in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Project locations with cumulative capacity for which NHDC has invited bids under the 1035 MW BOS tender include – 550 MW in Agar, 450 MW in Shajapur, and 500 MW in Neemuch.

Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation (NHDC) is a joint venture company formed by the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) & the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Submission Deadline & EMD:

The submission deadline for the bids is October 12, 2020. Meanwhile, a sum of INR 56 million will be required to be submitted as an earnest money deposit (EMD) by the interested bidders.

 Scope of Work

Under the work scope, the contract bidder will have to undertake the designing and engineering, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the BOS in solar power projects.

In addition, the selected bidder will also have to undertake the manufacturing and supply including transportation, loading, and storage of the required items excluding solar modules.  The tender document mentions that the selected bidder is also required to provide services of operation and maintenance for a period of five years.

Other Criteria

To be eligible to participate in the competitive bidding process, the tender documents mention that the bidder should have a minimum net worth of INR 8.5 million per MW of the quoted capacity:
