SJVN issued EPC Tender for 100 MW Project at Dholera Solar Park in Gujarat

SJVN Limited has issued solar EPC tender inviting bids for the development of 100 MW solar power project at Dholera Solar Park in Gujarat. The last date of bid submission is 16th of July 2020.


SJVN Limited has issued tender inviting bids for the development of a solar power plant of 100 MW (AC) at Dholera Solar Park in Gujarat. SJVNL is a joint venture of the Centre and Himachal Pradesh governments.

This 5GW Dholera Solar Park is likely to cover an area of more than 27,000 acres upon completion and is expected to create employment opportunities for more than 20,000 people.

Submission Deadline & EMD:

The last date of submission of bids is 16 July 2020.

The bidders will also have to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) as INR.11.8 lakh along with their bid.

Scope of Work

For the successful bidder, the contract will also cover the 10 years of extensive operation and maintenance (O&M) activities, apart from the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning.

According to the tender, SJVN intends in response to an agreement reissued in March, to enter a power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. Accordingly, SJVN has therefore invited bids under build own operate (BOO) from the empanelled parties of SJVN.

Financial Eligibility Criteria

As per the financial eligibility criteria, for the last three financial years, the bidder should have an average annual turnover of INR. 3.8 billion.

In the last financial year, the bidder’s net worth should be positive. While also have maintained this positive net worth for two years – during the last three financial years.

In the case of a joint venture, both the partners should meet the criteria of positive net worth for at least two financial years during the last three years.

Other Criteria

The time period for the successful bidders for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract will be 15 months from the date of issue of the letter of award, also including the commissioning period and the successful performance guarantee period of one month.
