NTPC tenders for 1100 kWP grid-connected Solar PV plant in Bihar

NTPC Ltd has issued tender inviting bids for the construction of the 1100 kWp solar PV power plant at North Karanpura in the state of Bihar.


NTPC Limited has floated tender inviting bids from eligible companies for setting up 1100 kWp grid-connected solar PV power plant at North Karanpura in Bihar State.

Submission Deadline:

The last date of submission of the bid is July 29, 2020. The techno-commercial bids will be opened the next day i.e. July 30, 2020

The earnest money deposit (EMD) amount to be deposited by the bidders is INR 5 lakh.

Scope of Work

For selected bidders, the scope of work will include development i.e. design, engineering, supply, transportation, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar power plant, for which the developers will have a period of 6 months (from the date of handing over the site)  to complete the work.

After commissioning, developers must provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plant for a period of 1 year.

Eligibility Criteria

The bidders must have a prior experience where he has designed, supplied, erected, or supervised erection, commissioned, or supervised commissioning and done O&M of solar-based grid plant of at least one plant of 100 kWp or above and cumulative capacity of 880 kWp or above.

In addition, the 100 kWp or above capacity reference plant must have been in successful operation for at least six months as on the date of opening of the techno-commercial bid.

Financial Criteria

Financially, the annual average turnover of the Bidder should not be less than INR 4.34 crore in the previous three consecutive financial years as from the opening date of the techno-commercial bid opening.  In addition, in the preceding financial year, the net worth of the bidder should not be less than 100% of its paid-up share capital.
