MSEDCL issued tender for 200 MW grid-connected rooftop solar systems
Projects are to be developed under CAPEX model that are estimated to cost around 850 crores. The bidding deadline is October 26, 2021.
A request for bids issued by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), to empanel agencies for installation of grid-connected residential rooftop solar systems of 200MW capacity under a capital expenditure (CAPEX) model, in Maharashtra. According to estimates, the 200 MW rooftop solar project will cost about INR 850 crore, including GST.
As part of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE’s) rooftop solar program, these projects will be developed in Phase-II. The MSEDCL has been allocated 525 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar projects under Phase-II of the program with central financial assistance (CFA).
Submission Deadline: The deadline for submitting bids is October 26, 2021.
Scope of Work: The work includes designing, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning grid-connected rooftop systems. Furthermore, the winning bidder must provide maintenance and operation services for rooftop solar systems for a period of five years.
Eligibility Criteria: Participants can submit their bids under five categories: Category A, B, C, D, and Open Category.
The bidder should have successfully installed at least 100 kW of rooftop solar systems to qualify for Category A, B, C, and D. In any one of the last three financial years, bidders must have had a turnover of at least INR10,000 per kW of the capacity they offer in their bids. Alternatively, bidders’ net worth should be more than INR 5,000 per kW of capacity offered.
Those who do not have the required prior experience in installing grid-connected rooftop solar projects will be considered Open Category bidders. Open Category bidders may not quote prices during the bid process. Nevertheless, they will be allowed to install rooftop solar systems if they match the lowest bid (L1).
