ITI Naini Solar Cell supply tender; Closing date nearing for bids submission
A tender for supply of over 5 lakhs solar cells has been issued by ITI Limited invited by Naini Allahabad Division, with the last date for the online bid submission schedule for the 4th of August 2020.
The Indian Telephone Industry (ITI) Limited, a public sector undertaking under the Department of Telecommunications Technology, has recently issued a tender for the supply of 531360 solar cells with an estimated value of the tender pegged at INR 17.53 million (~ USD 234,947).
Bid Submission Deadline:
The last date for bids submission is August 4, 2020. The bids will be open on the next day August 5, 2020.
It has been specifically mentioned that the bids should only be submitted through online mode. On the other hand, the company did not mention the submission of any earnest money deposit (EMD) along with the bids – in the tender document.
Requirement Details:
The cells supplied must be from the latest production batch and the batch number should be indicated.

- Wattage: 4.57W
- Dimensions: 156.75 x 156.75 ± 0.25 mm
- Thickness: 200 μm ± 20 μm
The cells should also have a silicon nitride anti-reflective coating and must have a bow of not less than 2 mm.
In addition, Cells should be free from visible defects such as broken or glued edges, micro-cracks, pinholes, metal printing leans, spots, spillage or smears, color variation, and non-uniform printing lines.
Other Criteria:
For those bidders who have not previously supplied any materials to the company are required to submit a free sample. If an order is issued by ITI, the bulk supply must begin only after acceptance of the samples. In four to eight weeks the supply of solar cells is to be completed.
