EPC Contractors Enlistment Tender floated by SJVN for 100 MW solar projects
SJVN has issued a tender inviting the enlistment of EPC vendors for the development of a 100 MW solar power project in India.
For the development of 100 MW of solar projects in the country – SJVN Limited, a joint venture between the Central Government and Government of Himachal Pradesh – has issued a tender for the enlistment of solar EPC contractors.
The selected applicants will be enlisted for two years at first. Further that the renewal will be subjected to applicable technical, financial and other criteria at the time of renewal.
Submission Deadline & EMD:
The last dates for bids submission are as follows;
- Online Bid Submission – 17 December 2020
- Offline Bid Submission – 21 December 2020
There is no mention of any requirement of an earnest money deposit (EMD) for this tender.
Scope of Work:
The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects
In addition, the bidders will also be required to provide operation and maintenance services of the solar project for a period of 10 years.
Eligibility Criteria
The participants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to participate in the competitive bidding process –
- The applicants must have experience in undertaking similar works of which at least one should be 50 MW or higher project worth INR 1.5 billion during the last seven years.
- In addition, the applicant at present must be undertaking O&M services of at least one should be 50 MW or above project.
- Also, in the last three financial years, the applicant should have an estimated average annual turnover of at least INR 1.5 billion. Also, the applicant must have a positive net worth as of the last date of the previous financial year.
SJVN, the hydroelectric power generator has recently entered the solar segment with big plans ahead. So far, EPC contracts for approximately 1200 MW of solar projects have been provided by the company. As of November 2020, the company’s solar portfolio includes 5 MW of operational solar projects and 200 MW of under-construction projects.
