Enlistment Tender for BOS Package floated by NTPC for its solar projects

NTPC has issued an enlistment tender for the suppliers of Balance of System (BOS) for its solar projects. The last date for bid submission is 19 Nov 2020.


A Balance of System (BOS) package supplier’s enlistment tender has been floated by NTPC for its solar projects. The enlistment will be valid for two years for the selected bidders.  NTPC has more than 3GW of solar power portfolio, comprising of commissioned and under development projects.

Submission Deadline:

The last date for bids submission is 19 November 2020

Scope of Work:

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. The supply of solar modules is not included for the selected bidders.

However, the selected bidders will also have to undertake the designing and construction of the foundation, erection of module mounting structures, as well as mounting of the panels. In addition, the bidders will be required to provide operation and maintenance services of the solar project, electrical equipment, consumables, and spare parts for three years from the date the trial run is completed.

Eligibility Criteria

The participants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to participate in the competitive bidding process –

  • The applicants must have experience in undertaking similar works of at least 40 MW previously.
  • One of the projects of this 40MW capacity must have been of 10 MW or above and have been operating successfully for a minimum of the past six months.
  • Also, in the last three financial years, the applicant should have an estimated average annual turnover of at least INR 670 million. Also, the applicant must have a positive net worth of more than 100% of their paid-up share capital as of the last date of the previous financial year.
  • Applicants who have executed industrial projects worth INR 670 million in the last ten years as a developer or under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) route – are also eligible to participate in the tender.
