Bids invited for a 1 MW rooftop solar project at Anandpur Sahib in Punjab

December 1, 2021, is the deadline for submitting online bids for the tender of 1 MW rooftop solar project at Virasat-e-Khalsa – Anandpur Sahib, Punjab.


Anandpur Sahib Foundation has issued an invitation for bids for the construction of a1 MW rooftop solar power plant at Virasat-e-Khalsa in Anandpur Sahib, Punjab. 

Important Dates & Deposits: The deadline for submitting online bids is December 1, 2021. A bid opening will also take place on that date.

There is an earnest money deposit of INR 808,000 that will have to be made by bidders. Upon receiving the acceptance letter, the winning bidder will be required to deposit 5% of the contract price as a performance security deposit within 21 days.

Scope of Work: The scope of work for this project includes design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 1MW Rooftop Solar project using mono-passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) modules with back-contact technology. Within six months of the award letter, the project should be completed.

Additionally, the successful bidder will have to take care of the project’s operation and maintenance for a period of five years.

Other Tender Details: Bidders for works up to INR 100 million should hold a valid enlistment with the Punjab Public Works Department.

If the estimated work cost exceeds INR 100 million, the bidder’s average annual turnover in any of the last three financial years prior to bidding year must be 40% of the estimated work cost.

In the past seven years, the bidder should have completed one similar project worth at least INR 32.3 million, or two similar projects worth at least INR 20.02 million, or three projects worth at least INR 16.2 million.

When the work is being undertaken, bidders should pledge to invest no less than 25% of the contract’s value in cash.

A certificate from the International Electrotechnical Commission or the Bureau of Indian Standards is must for the modules to be used in the project.
