A 100 MW Solar Project Tender issued by SJVNL in Gujarat

The SJVNL has issued a tender for the development of a 100 MW solar power project in Raghanesda Solar Park at Gujarat. The bid submission deadline is 19 October 2020.


SJVN Limited has issued a tender for the development of a 100-MW solar project in Raghanesda Solar Park (Phase X) in Gujarat. The company has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts.

Within 15 months of the issuance of the letter of award (LOA), the organization expects the EPC work of the project to be completed.

The fifteen months shall comprise the commissioning period and a three-month of the successful guarantee period. Operations and maintenance services are also required for five years to be provided by the EPC Company.

Submission Deadline & EMD:

Bids submission deadline is October 19, 2020. A submission of INR 60 million is to be made as to the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD).

Eligibility Criteria

Under eligibility requirements to participate in the competitive bidding process, the tender documents mention the following –

  • In the last three years, the applicants must have had a minimum average annual turnover of INR 15 billion.
  • Also, in at least two of the last three years, their net value should have been positive for the interested applicant.

The main focus of SJVN is on hydropower generation. However, the company has actively diversified into solar power generation. The company has issued the expression of interest (EoI) inviting experienced companies to build about 500 MW of solar PV capability since 2017. In July of this year, the company has released an EPC tender to build this 100-MW solar project.
