A tender for the supply of polycrystalline solar modules for 2.86 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Maharashtra has been issued by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Government of India enterprise.

The supply requirement is of around 1.4 MW at Akola and the remaining 1.46 MW at the Amravati region in Maharashtra.

Submission Deadline & EMD:

The last date for submission of bids is 27 January 2021. There is no mention of any earnest money deposits on the part of the bidders. Bids will open on the next day – 28 January 2021.

Other Tender Details:

Also, the modules need to qualify with the safety certification testing of IEC 61730 Part-I and II. In addition, the modules should also work adequately in moisture at a range of up to 85% and in a temperature range between -10° Celsius to +85° Celsius.

Within four weeks of receipt of the purchase order, solar modules should be supplied. There should be a five-year warranty on the modules from their installation/commissioning date or five years and six months from their date of delivery – whichever is earlier.

A toughened low iron glass having a thickness of at least 3.2/4 mm must to be used for making the crystalline silicon modules. The output peak watt capacity warranty on the modules should not be less than 90% and 80% of the initial value at the end of 10 years and 25 years respectively.

As for the back sheet, a three-layered structure should be used in the crystalline silicon-based modules. The fluoropolymer to used for the outer layer and polyester (PET) based middle layer, while the inner layer of fluoropolymer or UV resistant polymer.
