A tender for the construction of 25 MW of solar power at the Bhojudih Coal Washery in Purulia in Purulia, West Bengal has been issued by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on behalf of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL).

Submission Deadline & EMD:

The last date for submission of bids is 10 March 2021. While there is no mention of any earnest money deposits on the part of the bidders.

Scope of Work:

The SECI seeks quotes from the bidder for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, inspection, civil works, approvals, test, and commissioning along with providing the extensive operation and maintenance services of the solar project for 5 years post-commissioning.

Eligibility Criteria
  • A bidder should have previous experience as an engineer, procurement, and construction contractor or developer for the execution of at least one 13 MW ground-mounted solar project OR two such projects of 3 MW each, in the last seven years.
  • The bidder along with having a positive net worth for the last financial year should also have a minimum average annual turnover of INR 471 million in the last three years.
  • A minimum working capital of INR 294.4 million is also expected in accordance with their last audited financial statement.
Other Tender Details:

The solar modules must be sourced from the registered suppliers as per the list of Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules Order, 2019. Also in the last five years, the supplier of modules must have supplied at least 500 MW in India.

The modules must carry a warranty for a minimum of 10 years from the date of delivery against all components, production defects, and manufacturing defects.
