Tender to supply over 21 lakhs Solar Modules, floated by KELTRON

KELTRON has issued tender inviting bids for the supply of 21.125 lakhs mono-crystalline solar modules. Bids submission deadline is 16 December 2020.


A tender inviting bid for the supply of solar modules (mono-crystalline) for a 2 MW solar power project has been floated by the Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Limited
(KELTRON).

The total number of modules to be shipped amounts to 2,112,500 and the material should be delivered within 30 days of the date of the order.

Submission Deadline& EMD:

The last date for bids submission is 16 of December 2020; the bids will be opened the next day – 17 December 2020

An amount of INR 4, 00,000/- is required to be submitted as an earnest money deposit (EMD) for this tender.

Supply Specifications:

A minimum of 72 cell solar modules are proposed for supply in the tender document that should have an efficiency of not less than 14-18 percent.

The bidders should give a product warranty of five years, and the standard output of the modules should not be less than 90% at the end of 10 years, and not less than 80% at the end of 25 years.

Also, the modules need to have been tested and approved by any of the International Electrotechnical Commission’s (IEC) certified test centers.

In addition, the solar modules should be of an Indian brand only and should qualify under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy domestic content requirements (DCRs) norms.

Eligibility Criteria

The participants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to participate in the competitive bidding process –

  • The applicants must have 3 years of experience in supplying mono-crystalline modules.
  • In addition, the bidder would need to specify the panel wattage if it is 380 / 390 Wp, and should only quote rates per watt.
  • During the current financial year the bidder should have supplied at least 1.5 MW of solar PV modules of which at least 1 MW of solar modules should have been for a single order.
  • Also, in the last three financial years, the applicant should have an estimated average annual turnover of at least INR 50 million.
