Adani tenders for smart group metering for its 70000 consumers
The Adani Electric Mumbai Limited (AEML) has issued a tender for setting up of smart metering solutions for 700,000 consumers in its power distribution area of Mumbai East. The qualified firms need to submit their bids latest by 14 September 2020.
A tender for the implementation of smart metering solutions for 700,000 consumers has been issued by Adani Electric Mumbai Limited (AEML) in its power distribution area of the Mumbai East Division.
As smart meters are being developed slowly and many states are starting to replace conventional meters to become more energy-efficient.
On the same line, Adani has planned to set up an AMI solution for the Smart Group Metering system for 700,000 meters in its 99 square km distribution area with the RF (radio frequency) communication canopy network.
Submission Deadline & EMD:
The deadline for submission of applications is September 14, 2020. An amount of INR 2.5 crore will be required on the part of interested bidders as the earnest money deposit (EMD).
Scope of Work
Under work scope, the selected bidders will be required to undertake the implementation of smart group metering including the responsibility of supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning.
Bidders will also have to provide training for RF communications canopy networking elements, RF nodes, smart meters group / standalone, smart meter cabin and field maintenance, head-end system, data meter management system, customer portal, and cloud integration of existing AEML system and IT infrastructure.
The entire solution needs to be maintained for 10 years by the bidders and has the scalability of up to 3 million.
Eligibility Criteria:
The selected bidders must have been involved in electricity meter manufacturing and supply along with other electrical systems and metering devices. For the domestic bidder, this period is of at least three years and for the foreign bidders, it is five years – as of the date of tender…
In the past five years, Bidders were also expected to have successfully installed at least 500,000 AMI units in electricity distribution systems in India and elsewhere.
Financial Eligibility Criteria:
The annual turnover of prospective bidders should be at least INR 4 billion (approximately $53.38 million) for domestic bidders and USD 55 million (approximately INR 4.12 billion) for a global bidder in order to be eligible for competitive bidding processes.
