NOIDA issues tender for 10 MW Rooftop Solar Project

The NOIDA has issued a tender for setting up of 10 MW rooftop solar projects under the RESCO model on its own building. The qualified firms need to submit their bids latest by 13 August 2020.


The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) has issued a tender inviting a request for a proposal from qualified firms for the development of 10 MW (AC) of rooftop solar projects under the RESCO model on its buildings. The estimated value of the tender is INR 40 crore.

Uttar Pradesh’s Noida has been working for some time towards more sustainable development. Previously, Noida has awarded an invitation for 5 MW of solar roof projects on buildings across the city ranging from 500 kW to 5 MW.

Submission Deadline & EMD:

The deadline for submission of applications is August 13, 2020. An amount of INR 50 lakh will be required on the part of interested bidders as the earnest money deposit (EMD).

Scope of Work

Under the work scope, the selected bidders will be required to undertake the design, engineering, procurement, supply, testing, erection, and commissioning of the projects.

In addition to this, they will have to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for 25 years from the date of commissioning the project.

Eligibility Criteria:

The selected bidders must have successfully completed similar projects of at least 5 MW in the last seven financial years to be qualified to participate in the competitive bidding.

The projects would have been carried out according to the RESCO model in which the developer owns the solar plant.

Financial Eligibility Criteria:

As of the last date of the previous financial year, the net value of applicants should be over INR 8 crore. In addition, in the last financial year, the applicant’s net worth must have been positive.

The tender document also stated that successful bidders had to complete their entire allocated capacity successfully within a year of the date of issue of the letter of allocation.

The tender document further adds that, should selected bidders not be able to submit project approval documents within nine months of the issue of LoA, their PBG will be forfeited for the unapproved capacity.
