Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, during the past 1 year, the vendor should have manufactured and supplied a cumulative 5 MW mono / multi-modules of 325Wp or greater capacity.
In addition, they must have manufactured and supplied modules that are based on indigenous manufactured solar cells of power rating of 325Wp or above and these have been in use for at least 24 months on 30 June 2020.
Only proposals received from the original PV module manufacturer based in India will be approved. And vendors should have manufacturing facilities with a production capacity of at least 50 MW per year of PV module.
Added Criteria
The Solar Cells to be used in the modules should be domestically manufactured. Also, the diffusion process on wafers (Black Wafers) should have been carried out in India.
The rates are to be quoted separately in case solar cells used for modules are procured from foreign manufacturers. If blue wafers of solar cells are imported, the cells will be considered as imported.
Suppliers must provide warranties for modules against manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years and 6 months from the date of supply.
In addition, PV modules must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity, which should not be less than 90 percent at the end of 10 years and 80 percent at the end of 25 years. Free replacement against non-performance is also to be provided.
