Tender for 3 MW of Rooftop Solar Systems with Net Metering issued by HAREDA

The Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) has invited bids for development of 3 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects with a net metering facility. The last date for bid submission is August 26.


Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) has issued a tender to set up 3 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects with a net metering facility. The tender also includes the supply of solar and bidirectional meters.

As per the tender, the total capacity of 3 MW has been divided into two categories. The first category is 1.4 MW consisting of battery-connected grid-connected rooftop solar projects.

The remaining 1.6 MW in the second category will include grid-connected hybrid rooftop solar projects with a battery bank. Battery banks must also be provided with battery management systems.

Submission Deadline & EMD
  • The last date for submission of bids is August 26, 2020.
  • Interested bidders should submit a sum of INR 200,000 as an earnest money deposit (EMD).
  • Haryana-based start-ups, Micro and Small Enterprises (MSME) are exempted from payment of EMD.
Scope of Work:

The work scope for the selected bidders will include the supply, testing, installation, and commissioning of rooftop solar projects. The solar system will also come with a warranty for five years.

Successful bidders will also be required to provide operation and maintenance services for a period of five years. The project must be completed within three months from the date of the work order.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have installed at least 1.2 MW of solar power plants over the last five years to be eligible to participate in the competitive bidding process.

In addition, over the past three years, the applicants should have an average annual turnover of at least INR 5.7 crore, and a positive net worth in the previous financial year.

The tender contract specifies that the successful bidder must only use domestic solar modules made with domestically produced solar photovoltaic cells.
