Haryana invites bidding for the supply of 33,000 Solar Inverter Chargers

Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency has issued a tender to acquire 33,000 solar inverter chargers for the charging of batteries of existing conventional converters in the state.


A tender to supply 33,000 Solar Inverter chargers has been invited by the Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA). The agency requires these solar inverter chargers for the charging of batteries of existing conventional converters in the state.

The agency has specified the supply requirement into two wattage levels – 30,000 inverter-chargers of 640W and 3,000 inverter-chargers of 320W. Meanwhile, a five years’ warranty for the complete system would also be included in the contract.

Bid Submission Deadline: The last date for bid submission is 11 August 2020.

  • EMD has been exempted from — Haryana based manufacturing units falling under MSEs or Village khadi, first-generation entrepreneurs, start-ups in Haryana, Central and public sector enterprises of Haryana.
Eligibility Criteria:

To participate in the bidding process, the bidder must be a registered manufacturer of solar modules and have a clear test report for solar modules provided by a Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), or an approved laboratory accredited by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). In addition, a similar bidding contract of not less than INR 281.4 million should have been successfully completed by the bidder during the last three years.

Financial Criteria:

As per the financial criteria, during the previous 3 years, the bidder is expected to have a minimum annual average turnover of INR 211 million.  Moreover, ending 31 March of the previous financial year – the bidder must have a positive net worth in the last three years.

Brief Description of Procuring/ Rate Contract item:

As HAREDA is in the process of implementing a solar inverter adapter system that will charge traditional inverter batteries and provide an additional energy source in market mode.

Beneficiaries will have the option to choose any supplier from the empanelled list of suppliers provided by the department, under the market mode.

The beneficiary’s share will be collected by the empanelled supplier, and the subsidy will be released to the supplier after system installation and commissioning.

After the submission of the joint commissioning report and satisfactory installation and operation of the items; the subsidy amount INR 10,000 for the 640 W and INR 6,000 for the 320 W solar inverter charger will be released to the supplier.

The balance amount (Total costs of the system apart from the applicable subsidy) must be collected by the empanelled supplier from the beneficiaries.
