Tender for grid-connected solar plants with 50/75 MW capacity issued by Coal India Limited

Coal India issued tender for 50/75 Mw grid-connected solar power projects in Odisha, bids submission deadline is September 1, 2021.

Through its subsidiary, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd., Coal India Ltd. has floated a tender for a 50/75 MW grid-connected solar power plant in Odisha, with evacuation infrastructure included.

A 10-month timeframe for project completion is given, along with a five-year monitoring and management period beginning on the date of project commencement. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs. 279 crore

Important Dates: The deadline for submitting bids online is Wednesday, September 1st, 2021. The pre-bid meeting will be held on August 20. While the bid opening is scheduled for September 2nd, 2021.

Scope of Work: It includes the acquisition of land, supply and procurement of materials, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected solar power plants with a capacity of 50 MW(AC) / 75 MW(DC) including evacuation infrastructure in Odisha. Operation and Maintenance will also be the responsibility of the bidder for 5 years after the project has been commissioned.

Other Details: A certificate from a Chartered Accountant stating that the bidder has adequate working capital to the tune of Rs. 55.90 Crores must be submitted by the interested bidder. It is imperative that the bidder has the Working Capital issued within three months prior to the opening date of the tender.
