Solex 1.5GW module facility construction work starts
The construction work for the Solex 1.5GW module facility launched with a groundbreaking ceremony at its factory site near Surat, Gujarat
In line with India’s call for ‘Atma Nirbhar’ mission of the government, resulting from the hit of the pandemic, Solex Energy Limited has propelled the plans of expansion of its solar module production facility to 1.5 GW, which was announced earlier.
Solex Energy launched this ambitious project on 19 October 2020 by holding a groundbreaking ceremony at its manufacturing site near Surat, Gujarat.
The company plans to implement the latest production technology and introduce high-quality modules that provide improved performance and better production with all stringent quality checks, with this expansive ultra-modern facility spread over 10 acres.
Thus the company plans to set up the assembling lines that will be completely designed for the processing of semi-cell, bifacial, BIPV, glass to glass as well as multi-busbar cell modules. For this, the manufacturing facility will see the inclusion of automated processes such as auto bussing, automatic curing, and module sorting.
Furthermore, the Solex 1.5GW module facility will have state-of-the-art production lines with specially ordered and tailored capabilities for unique needs. To accomplish this goal, a dedicated research and development team and a well-known in-house quality laboratory will be set up.
With setting up of this facility, Solex will launch a range of Mono and Multi-cell modules along with catering to particular customer requirements. In addition to the Solex brand, the company also plans to do OEM for a small but long-term niche community of customers.
Besides catering to the Indian Solar Panel Market, the company will also concentrate on exports to the European and American markets through its dedication to quality so as to contribute towards making India the world’s solar hub.
