Ashwani Kumar appointed as CEO of Suzlon Group

Ashwani Kumar appointed as the new CEO by Suzlon Group. He states that the time for wind and renewable energy to grow exponentially in India is now, thus, excited to join the company at such an important juncture.


Suzlon Group, India’s leading renewable energy solutions provider – in a statement released on Friday, announced the appointment of Ashwani Kumar as its group CEO.

Kumar who is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and The Harvard Business School, brings with him over three decades of experience.

His experience spans across projects, business development and finance at leading Indian power and infrastructure firms.

He led the construction of over 6 GW of power projects from bidding to commercial operations. In addition, he has proven expertise in effectively managing large, complex contracts and leveraging corporate affairs.

On his appointment, Tulsi Tanti, Chairman and Managing Director, Suzlon Group said, “I am delighted that Ashwani Kumar is joining the Suzlon family. He further added that, “Having worked extensively in infrastructure as well as in utility management, Ashwani is the right fit for the organization given the current context of new opportunities for wind and renewable energy in India and all over the world.”
