PFC has appointed Rajiv Ranjan Jha as its Director (Projects)
In addition to developing and implementing strategic initiatives, Jha will also oversee the company’s ongoing projects in his new role as Director Projects
The Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC), a Maharatna CPSE company and India’s foremost non-banking financial firm focused on the power sector, has announced the appointment of Rajiv Ranjan Jha as Director (Projects).
Aside from developing and implementing strategic initiatives, he will also oversee the company’s ongoing projects in his new role. Before being elevated to this position, Jha served as Executive Director (Projects) at PFC.
Previously, he was responsible for the entire loan portfolio for Private Sector projects under Consortium Lending, in which PFC served as the lead financial institution. In addition, he handled the Renewable Energy loan portfolio and has extensive experience in Project Appraisal (especially for private power projects).
Also, he was involved in the development and award of UMPP’s for which PFC served as the nodal agency. Jha has also played a key role in resolving several large scale stressed assets worth around Rs.10,000 crores.
Prior to joining PFC, he worked at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd.) for more than eight years, overseeing the operation and maintenance of their coal-based captive power plant.
Jha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Jamshedpur, Ranchi University, and an advance diploma in management from IGNOU.
