O&M tender issued for 1.1 MW rooftop solar project by BHEL
BHEL invited bids for O&M of 1.1 MW of rooftop solar projects in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. The deadline for submitting bids is Nov 22, 2021
For operation and maintenance of rooftop solar projects in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, Bharati Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender inviting bids from interested contractors. The competitive bidding process is open to bidders who meet the prequalification criteria outlined in the notice inviting tender (NIT).
The total of 1.1 MW of rooftop solar capacity is distributed across 630 kW of rooftop solar systems in Kanpur, 75 kW in Meerut, both in Uttar Pradesh, and 400 kW in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Important Dates & Deposits: The deadline for submitting bids is November 22, 2021. The opening of the bids will take place on the same day.
An earnest money deposit of INR 200,000 must be provided by bidders. In addition, before beginning work, the successful bidder must also submit a security deposit of 5% of the contract value.
Other Tender Details: Upon winning the bid, the successful contractor will be responsible for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the rooftop solar systems. O&M for rooftop solar systems will include routine repairs, overhauls, machine breakdowns, and smooth operation.
A quarterly inspection for 600 kW and 30 kW of rooftop systems in Kanpur has to be organized by the bidder until September 28, 2023, and June 14, 2024, respectively. As for Ranchi, for 400kW of rooftop capacity, and for Meerut, 75kW of rooftop capacity – arrangement for half-yearly inspection is required until November 17, 2022, and March 21, 2022, respectively.
In order to maintain the rooftop systems, the bidder must maintain all the necessary equipment. Moreover, the bidder must have the testing equipment calibrated once a year by a National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accredited lab.
