NHPC signs pact for 10,000 MW of Renewable Energy development in Rajasthan
The LoI was signed by RRECL Chairman and Managing Director Subodh Agarwal and Y K Chaubey, Director, Technical, NHPC Ltd.
In Rajasthan, NHPC has signed a letter of intent (LoI) to develop 10 GW of renewable energy projects.
“In the august presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, NHPC Limited and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL) signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) on February 8, 2022 in Jaipur for the development of 10,000 MW Renewable Energy Projects/Parks in Rajasthan,” the company stated in a BSE filing.
Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), NHPC Ltd, and Subodh Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Mines and Petroleum Department and Energy Department, as well as Chairman and Managing Director, RRECL and Chairman, Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd, signed the LoI.
According to NHPC, A K Singh, NHPC’s chairman and managing director, leads the company in expanding its renewable energy portfolio and has undertaken several projects under various modes.
