Godrej & Boyce bags transmission business orders worth over INR 550 crore

These orders in the domestic T&D market comprise of 400kV new AIS substations, 220kV new GIS substations, 220kV transmission lines and 220kV underground cables


Godrej & Boyce, has bagged orders worth over Rs 550 crore  for its power transmission business in the domestic T&D (transmission and distribution) market.

An official statement from Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd said its power infrastructure and renewable energy business unit has secured orders worth over Rs 550 crores for the power transmission business.

The orders in the domestic market for T&D include 400kV new AIS substations, 220kV new GIS substations, 220kV transmission lines, and 220kV underground cables, the statement noted.

“We are pleased to have secured new orders despite challenging times. These orders further reinforce our presence in the domestic T&D market. These new orders have expanded G&B’s portfolio in EHV substations and transmission lines across India,” said Raghavendra Mirji, Senior Vice President & Head-Power Infrastructure and Renewable Energy (PIRE), Godrej Electricals & Electronics.

The company provides equipment, solutions and services aimed at improving the efficiency of energy management across the industry value chain.

The Godrej Electricals and Electronics business of Godrej & Boyce commenced their power transmission business in 2010. They have successfully commissioned several EHV substation projects up to 400kV across all territories in India and aim to consolidate their position in 400kV and above.
