Haryana Govt plans the announcement of EV policy within a month
According to the deputy chief minister, three rounds of discussions have been held with officials for the development of this policy, and the final consultations were held on Thursday.
The Haryana government will release an Electric Vehicle Policy-2021 within one month, according to state Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala.
The Deputy CM, Chautala, who is also in charge of the Commerce and Industries Department, addressed this to senior officials of various departments after a meeting on “Haryana Electric Vehicle Policy-2021.”
He added that the government is working continuously to formulate the best policy for e-vehicles in the country. The deputy chief minister further stated that this policy was formulated after three rounds of consultation with officials. The final round was held on Thursday.
Specifically, he said the state government has been focusing efforts toward e-vehicle manufacturers, users, and people setting up charging stations, all of whom will receive special exemptions.
According to him, the state government is encouraging the use of two-, three-, and four-wheeled electric vehicles. In addition, he informed that the state has plans to have maximum e-vehicles in the state in 2022.
