Goldi Solar partners with SRK Knowledge Foundation to solarize the entire village in Gujarat
Dudhala in Gujarat becomes the first village in India to be completely solarized by a foundation.
Goldi Solar, a global solar panel manufacturer and provider of EPC services, has partnered with Shree Ramkrishna Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF) to solarise the entire village in Gujarat. .
According to the company’s official statement, the foundation stone was laid today for solarization in the village of Dudhala in Southern Gujarat. A 450 KW solar rooftop project will be used to power around 350 houses and public areas such as anganwadis and gram panchayat.
Upon completion, this would be the first foundation-powered village to utilize solar panels for all its energy needs. As opposed to providing financial aid, this move will allow close to 2,000 people to earn an income through the solar rooftop systems.

Shree Ramkrishna Knowledge Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of leading Indian diamond company, Shree Ramkrishna Exports. Furthermore, the foundation will set up free wi-fi, healthcare, medical infrastructure and services in Dudhala in addition to setting up renewable energy.
