SECI and HPCL signed MOU to realize green energy objectives

Under MOU, cooperation and collaboration are envisaged in areas such as renewable energy, electric mobility, and alternative fuels.


A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for cooperation in the area of renewable energy, electric mobility, alternative fuels, and environmental sustainability projects.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) on 24th February 2022 in New Delhi to realize green energy objectives and the government’s efforts toward carbon-neutrality, according the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) statement.

In this MOU, cooperation and collaboration are envisaged in areas such as renewable energy, electric mobility, and alternative fuels, as well as the development of ESG projects.

The SECI promotes and develops a variety of renewable energy resources, including solar and wind energy, a renewable storage system, waste to energy, and research and development projects such as green hydrogen, green ammonia, and RE-powered electric vehicles.
