EPC tender for 100 MW floating solar project in Odisha issued by NHPC
For the EPC of the 100 MW floating solar project, NHPC invites bids with a deadline of October 7, 2021, for the submission of the online bids.
In Odisha, NHPC Limited has floated tender inviting bids for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 100 MW floating solar power projects, along with the transmission line required to connect the site to the 400 kV substation at the Rengali reservoir in Odisha.
As part of the contract, the successful bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for the next ten years.Upon notification of award, the project should be completed within 12 months.
Important Dates: The deadline for submitting bids online is October 7, 2021, and the opening of bids will take place on October 18. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for September 2, 2021.
Deposits: A performance security deposit of 3% of the contract value will have to be submitted within 28 days following notification of the award of the contract.
Other Tender Details: The bidder should meet the following requirements to participate in the bidding process:
The bidder must have earlier engaged in the design, supply, and installation of grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative total installed capacity of at least 40 MW, one of which should be 10 MW or greater.
As an alternative, the bidder should have developed grid-connected solar projects as a developer of at least 40 MW of installed capacity, at least one of which should have been at least 10 MW in size. The bidder should have developed the reference projects of 10 MW or higher capacity for themselves or any other clients at a single location.
At the time of the last date of the month before the bid submission, the bidder should also have a minimum of six months of experience with O&M of a 10 MW solar project. The O&M experience should be in the last 5 years.
An eligible bidder must have generated an average annual turnover of INR 8 billion in each of the past three years. Furthermore, three out of the past five years’ net worth of the bidder should be positive. It is essential that the bidder has at least INR 900 million in working capital.
