Ecoppia announces 150 MW project with Actis owned Spring Energy in India
Ecoppia announced project of 150 MW with Spring Energy, a company owned by the global leading investment platform Actis
Ecoppia, the world’s leader in robotic cleaning solutions for photovoltaic solar projects, announced a 150 MW project with Spring Energy. In Q2 2022, Ecoppia robots will be deployed at Spring Energy’s Ananthapuram solar PV project in Andhra Pradesh, India. Spring Energy is owned by the global leading investment platform Actis.
ACTIS initially partnered with Ecoppia in 2017 to install the fully autonomous robots at four solar sites with its platform “Ostro Energy.”. For the last five years, Ecoppia’s unparalleled performance has ensured that Actis platforms’ all subsequent greenfield solar projects in India have entrusted Ecoppia to provide their robotic cleaning solution.
Among other benefits, Ecoppia’s unmatched reliability and proven ability to remove soiling has led to the Actis’ assets being regarded as high quality, low risk, and technologically superior.
As a result of over 150 days of national lockdown in India in 2020 and 2021, most developers had trouble getting solar panels clean and producing energy effectively. However, due to Ecoppia’s highly reliable and fully autonomous robotic solutions, none of its +2GW sites, catered by Ecoppia’s Indian team, missed even one day of cleaning.
Over the past decade, Ecoppia has been gaining market share with over 3GW of projects across 4 continents, offering site owners year-round peak performance, lower O&M costs, and a lower levelized cost of electricity.
The CEO of Ecoppia, Jean Scemama, expressed his honor at being chosen once again by Actis. “As market leaders, we shoulder the responsibility of maintaining the highest standards, constantly raising the bar for excellence. With Ecoppia’s multifaceted solution portfolio, energy companies around the world will continue to enjoy scalability, sustainability, and an attractive ROI,” he commented.
Ecoppia is a world leader in photovoltaic solar robotics cleaning solutions with over 16GW of agreements. Using advanced technology and Business Intelligence capabilities, Ecoppia’s cloud-based, water-free, autonomous robotic solutions cleans the solar panels on a daily basis. Ecoppia’s remote management and control system makes it possible for solar sites to maintain peak performance at low costs and minimal human intervention.
