Adani Power appoints Shersingh B Khyalia as its new CEO.

Prior to joining Adani Power, Shersingh B Khyalia has a career span of 32-year in the power industry gaining vast experience in handling complex business involving generation, transmission, and distribution.

Adani Power appoints Shersingh B Khyalia as its chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from January 11, 2022. The decision was taken by Adani Power’s board of directors at its meeting held on Tuesday.  

The company’s board of directors voted to appoint Shersingh B Khyalia as chief executive officer to be effective January 11, 2022, the company said in a BSE filing.  

Additionally as per the filing, Shersingh B Khyalia is noted to not be related inter-se to any of the company’s directors.

Shersingh B Khyalia is a Chartered Accountant. Throughout his 32-year career in the power industry, he has handled complex business involving generation, transmission, and distribution.

He brings with him experience in all aspects of the power industry, such as power trading, legal, regulatory, commercial, financial & accounting, and PPA management.

Khyalia earlier worked at Gujarat Power Corporation as its managing director, where he got into the renewable energy industry specialising in the development of ultra-mega renewable parks.

Having served in the power sector for almost three decades, he has served as a director on the boards of Power Exchange (India) Ltd, Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd, Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd, Dakshin Gujarat Company Ltd, Madhya Gujarat Company Ltd, Dakshin Haryana Distribution Company Ltd, and Gujarat Green Revolution Ltd.
