2.5 GW of Solar Projects Tender issued by SECI

Under Tranche X (ISTS-X) the (SECI) has released a Request for Selection (RFS) for 2 .5 GW of interstate-connected solar projects at the Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park (UMREPP) in Koppal district of Karnataka.

The scope of work for solar power developer includes the acquisition of land, connectivity for the project as well as obtaining Long-Term Access (LTA) approvals.

Interested bidders are supposed to make an earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 400,000 (approximately USD 5,289) per MW.

The developer also has to submit a performance bank guarantee (PBG) for INR 800,000 (approximately USD 10,576) per MW within 70 days of the issuance of the letter of award (LoA) or prior to the signing the power purchase agreement (PPA), whichever is earlier.

Submission Deadline: The submission deadline for the bid is May 29, 2020.

Eligibility : To take part in the competitive bidding process, the bidder should have a net worth greater than INR 80 Lakh (approximately USD 1,05,757) per MW of the capacity undertaken at the end of the last financial year. In addition the bidder must also have a minimum annual turnover of the quoted capacity of INR 41.4 Lakh ( approximately USD 54,795) per MW in the last financial year.

According to the documents, the applicants can apply for a single bid for quantities between 50 MW and 2.5 GW. The total capacity that can be allocated to a single bidder is 2.5 GW. The Solar projects must design at a voltage level of at least 66 kV for the interconnection at the power system stabilizer substation.
