Waaree Energy Storage System ties up with Zypp Electric

Collaboration between Waaree and Zypp will accelerate mass adoption of green last-mile delivery and lead to a reduction in carbon footprint in the automobile industry


Waaree Energy Storage System (WESS) has announced its partnership with EV startup Zypp Electric.  

Waaree Energy Storage System (WESS) has partnered up to supply lithium batteries. The partnership will help increase Zypp Electric’s position in the two-wheeler sector. 

According to a company statement, the partnership will combine clean energy technology with innovative battery management techniques to create an eco-friendly logistics ecosystem.

“We believe this partnership will yield greater penetration of clean energy among industries and propel the growth of reliable electric two-wheelers for last-mile delivery,” Shiv Nath, MD, Waaree ESS Pvt Ltd

A new partnership with Waaree Energy Storage System facilitates state-of-the-art energy solutions for Zypp Electric and will play an important role to strengthen the company’s two-wheeler category.

Integrated remote monitoring, tailored for battery assets, will provide a seamless view of the assets and overall performance to ensure cost-effective, seamless operations.

As a result of this collaboration, green last-mile delivery will be adopted on a massive scale and the automobile industry’s carbon footprint will be reduced, the company stated.

Akash Gupta, CEO of Zypp Electric stated, “With proven expertise in electric mobility solutions, our partnership with Waaree ESS will enable us to fast-track our growth and expand our e-scooter fleet by 10x by 2023.”

Waaree ESS has made a pioneering contribution to the green energy development plan of the country by responding to lithium battery demands.

The 2017-founded EV startup Zypp Electric specializes in last-mile delivery. Their fully automated IoT and AI-enabled scooters are currently delivering groceries, medicines, food, and packages.
