Vipul Ray appointed as president of IEEMA
Vipul Ray of Elmex Controls takes over as President of IEEMA for 2021-22, along with Rohit Pathak and Hamza Arsiwala taking over new responsibilities as Senior Vice President and Vice President, respectively.
Vipul Ray, MD of Elmex Controls, has been appointed president of the Indian Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) for 2021-2022.
According to a statement released, Rohit Pathak, CEO of Birla Copper (Hindalco Industries), and Hamza Arsiwala, Chairman of Stelmec, will both take on new responsibilities as Senior Vice President and Vice President, respectively, during the year 2021-22.
According to Vipul Ray, MD of Elmex Controls, “India is undergoing an energy transition that will create many opportunities for the electrical and allied electronics sector in India. In my opinion, to stay ahead of the curve, innovation, investments in digital transformation and R&D, along with quality will play a key role.”
Ray further added that exporting, or accessing international markets, will allow us to keep our sights high. According to Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’s national priorities, local voices must be heard, as well as global voices. Therefore, IEEMA will focus on all of these, and on a firm level, it will help its members to become competitive so as to gain access to international markets. In addition, we will ensure that our interactions with the government continue to facilitate Ease of Doing business for our members.
