Tender floated for 300 MW of ISTS-connected wind projects by NTPC

NTPC has invited bids for the development of 300MW of wind projects, the last date of bid submission is October 19, 2021


NTPC Limited has floated a tender for the development of 300 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind energy projects anywhere in India. As per the tender document, a single bidder shall be eligible to place a bid for at least 50 MW of capacity or at the most for 300 MW.

Design, engineering, microsite planning, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and installation of wind turbines, control panels, compensating devices, and wind monitoring masts are all included in the scope of the project.

Important Dates: A bid submission deadline is of October 19, 2021, this will be followed by the opening of bids on the same day.

Eligibility Criteria: Interested bidders must have completed one of the below-mentioned reference projects as an engineer, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor or developer. Also, at least one year should have elapsed since the reference project has been operating successfully before the bid opening. 

  • Designed, supplied, and commissioned at least one grid-connected wind power project of at least 10MW or higher at a single location 
  • Alternatively, the interested bidder should have completed in the past ten years an industrial project of a value of INR 3 billion or more either as a developer or EPC contractor in power, steel, oil & gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, or any other process industry.

Also, the interested bidder must have experience with at least one electrical substation of 132 kV or above, including circuit breakers, power transformers, etc., as a developer or as an EPC contractor. 

During the last three fiscal years, the average annual turnover of the bidder should have been at least INR 3.15 billion. On the last day of the preceding financial year, the bidder should have a positive net worth.
