Tata Power Solar won an order from NTPC to set up 320 MW project
Tata Power Solar has been awarded an order for setting up of 320 MW solar power project with an estimated order value of 1200 crore by NTPC.
Tata Power Solar has announced that it has secured an order for setting up a 320 MW ground-mounted solar project from state-run power giant NTPC. The same was informed via an official release by Tata Power Solar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power.
The scope of work for the grid-connected solar project on a turnkey basis shall include land, acquisition, engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning along with three years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services.
In addition, Tata Power Solar will also be responsible for the power evacuation systems and telemetry up to the interconnecting state transmission utility (STU) substation for the project.
The project order value of the project is estimated at around INR 1, 200 crores (USD 162 million). While the commercial operating date for this project has been set for May 2022.
Speaking about the success, Praveer Sinha, CEO of Tata Power, MD, stated that “Tata Power is in the forefront of producing green energy across the country. Such achievement shows the trust and leadership of Tata Power’s project management capability and execution skills in solar projects.”
Some of the successfully executed large projects by the Tata Power Solar in the recent past include the 150 MW Ayana at Ananthapur, 50 MW Kasargod solar project at Kerala, 6 MW project of Greenko, 3 0MW solar power plant in Lapanga, Odisha.
The company is also developing a 105 MW floating solar project, currently under execution at Kayamkulam. Tata Power Solar has also won an auction of 400 MW of projects in Dholera Solar Park, in Gujarat.
With this 320 MW solar project Tata Power Solar’s order pipeline is currently at around 4 GW with a value of INR 12,000 crore approximately.
