Suman Sharma has been appointed Managing Director of SECI

Sharma the newly appointed MD of SECI currently serves as Additional DGFT for the Directorate General of Foreign Trade in the Department of Commerce.

As per an official statement on Thursday, the renewable energy ministry announced that the government has named Suman Sharma as the new managing director (MD) of Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

She is currently the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce.

SECI, a central public sector undertaking under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. She has been appointed as the new MD by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

Sharma is an Indian Revenue Service officer from the 1990 batch. She will succeed Jatindra Nath Swain, the current serving chairman and MD of the company.
