Solar project of 150MW commissioned by Tata Power in Rajasthan
The 150 MW solar project has installated of about 656,700 modules and is expected to cut 3.34 lakh tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
As per the announcement made on Tuesday by Tata Power Renewable, a Tata Power subsidiary, the company has commissioned a 150 megawatt (MW) solar power project in Loharki, Rajasthan.
A press release from the company indicated the solar power project will generate more than 350 million units of power annually and occupy a total area of 756 acres.
In the solar project, about 656,700 modules were used in the installation. The PV project is expected to cut 3.34 lakh tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
Tata Power’s chief executive officer and managing director Praveer Sinha said, “We will continue to look for opportunities for sustainable growth of renewable power in India.”
Tata Power added that with the addition of this solar project, the total renewable installed capacity of the company will be 2,947 MW, including 2,015 MW of solar and 932 MW of wind. Additional renewable energy projects of 1,084 MW are under implementation.
