Senvion India bags 591-MW wind turbines order from JSW Energy

JSW Energy has placed an order for wind turbines to Senvion India, a wind turbine manufacturer. On Monday, Senvion India, announced it has received an order for 591-megawatt (MW) of wind turbines delivery from JSW Energy.
In a joint press release, the company stated that the project would include 2.7 MW turbines that would generate enough clean power to power over 450,000 houses in India. Turbines will start to be delivered in the first half of 2022.
JSW Energy has plans to deploy these turbines in its under-construction pipeline of 2.5 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy projects.
JSW Energy’s managing director and chief executive officer Prashant Jain stated, “We are delighted to work with Senvion on our flagship wind projects and look forward to the completion of the under-construction projects on time.”
Senvion India was recently acquired by Alfanar Group. This company’s portfolio includes technology development, manufacturing, and sales, as well as services and solutions.
