Rays Power Infra will build a 500MW solar park in Rajasthan

Rays Power Infra has inked a pact with the government of Rajasthan to build a 500 MW solar park in the state. 


An agreement has been reached between Rays Power Infra and the Rajasthan government for the development of a 500 MW solar park in the state. 

In a statement, Rays Power Infra said that it had signed an agreement with the state of Rajasthan to build an avant-garde PV photovoltaic power station that would produce 500 MW of green electricity. 

According to the statement, the parties have finalized an agreement designed to reduce traditional electricity consumption originating from non-renewable sources during the ongoing Dubai Expo. 

Commenting on the agreement, Pawan Sharma, director of Rays Power Infra said, “We are delighted that the Rajasthan government has signed an agreement to build a 500 MW solar park in the state. The MoU is an important step towards a more eco-friendly tomorrow, and we are happy to be participating in this initiative”. 

In addition to the Memorandum of Understanding, the company has already begun construction on 500 MW of solar power, which will be operational in nine months to offset 50 percent of the energy needs for corporate clients and 50 percent for utilities. This 500 MW is composed of 220 MW for India and 280 MW for international expansion.
