Waaree completes production of 300 MW of modules for Aquamarine solar project in California fetching over $105 million in foreign exchange for the country…
According to Waaree Energy, the company has completed the production of 300 megawatts (MW) of solar modules for Aquamarine, a 250-MW solar project located in California.
The Aquamarine project is part of Phase I of the Westlands Solar Park (WSP), which is expected to begin generating power in late 2021. It has a capacity of 2,700 MW.
The company has provided 385, 390 Watt mono PERC solar modules for installation at the project, according to the company’s press release.
Sunil Rathi, director of sales and marketing at Waaree Energies, said, “Our country gained $105 million in foreign exchange from this order and it has created good employment opportunities. We plan to expand our presence in the USA by opening a local office soon in California.”
