Portal sharing key coal sector performance indicators launched by Govt.

Dr. Anil Kumar Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, has launched a portal called “Koyla Darpan” to enable sharing of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the coal sector.

On Friday, the government announced the launch of a new portal related to the coal sector. The new portal, ‘Koyla Darpan’, will share key performance indicators related to the coal sector.

Initially, the portal will have key performance indicators, including coal/lignite production, coal/lignite offtake, exploration data, central sector schemes, coal stock at thermal power plants, the allocation of blocks, monitoring of major coal mines, and coal price, according to the statement.

According to the statement by the Ministry of Coal, the portal was launched by coal secretary Anil Kumar Jain.

At the event, senior officials from the coal ministry and public utilities were present via videoconference. The officers provided suggestions/views on how to make the portal more user-friendly, according to the ministry statement.
