Over Rs 350 cr to be invested by Simple Energy in India

Simple Energy plans to invest over INR 350cr over the next two years in India that includes the setting up of a manufacturing facility… 


In the next two years, Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler firm Simple Energy plans to invest over Rs 350 crore in India. Establishing a manufacturing unit is part of this process. As part of this plan, a 10-lakh unit capacity plant will be set up at Hosur in Tamil Nadu. 

In a statement released, the company stated that while the factory set up has begun, production operations will begin later this year. With the rapid growth of the EV industry, Simple Energy plans to invest over Rs 350 crore in the next two years to expand its presence in India.

The company added that as part of the first phase of the factory, the company will provide at least 1,000 jobs. The facility is set to be spread across two lakh square feet. August 15 is the date when the company plans to launch its first flagship electric scooter in India.

According to the company’s founder and CEO, Suhas Rajkumar, the company has the vision to be the leader of electric mobility in India and the company is moving ahead to serve a wider audience base.
