Okaya Electric Vehicle launched its e-scooter Faast at EV Expo ‘21

Fully made in India by Okaya Electric Vehicle, this IoT-enabled e-scooter Faast, comes packed with features and specs and offers a range of 150-200 km per charge, depending on usage.

On Friday, Okaya Electric Vehicle announced the launch of the high-speed e-scooter Faast at EV Expo 21 in Greater Noida. A 4.4 kW lithium phosphate battery, LED lights, digital instrument cluster, daytime running lights, and a combi braking system are among the features and specs packed into the IoT-enabled e-scooter, the company said.

Okaya has emerged as a front runner in the e-scooter segment across the length and breadth of the country by offering 100% made in India products, rather than a mix of just assembled in India products.

Anil Gupta, Managing Director, Okaya Power Group, said, “With Okaya Faast, we have demonstrated our renewed commitment to bring innovative, low-cost, yet high-performance e-scooters to accelerate the adoption of EVs in India.”

With the development of fast-charging infrastructure for these e-scooters, Okaya has already established itself as a key player in this section of the market, he further noted.

“In line with the country’s fast transition to electric mode, there is a high demand for electric vehicles, and therefore a rise in the demand for fast charging and affordable e-scooters.

We look forward to capturing the biggest share of the emerging market and delivering to our valued customers state-of-the-art Okaya Faast e-scooters,” said Puran Singh Negi, AVP of Okaya EV.

As part of its effort to introduce high-spec e-two-wheelers, the company said it is also actively exploring the possibility of becoming the fastest growing domestic EV brand, having established over 225 dealer locations across the country within six months of its inception.
