NTPC issues tender for solar rooftop plants at its Barauni TPP in Bihar
NTPC has tendered for 800 kW rooftop solar project installation for its Barauni thermal power plant stage-2
NTPC Limited has issued tender inviting bids from eligible bidders for setting up rooftop solar projects in Stage 2 of NTPC Barauni Thermal Power Plant (TPP) in the state of Bihar.
The rooftop systems are to be developed on the following 7 buildings of the Thermal Power Plant – Main Power House, Service Building, O&M Workshop, and O&M Store Buildings, CHP Workshop, Fire Water Pump House, Switchyard Control Room, and Ash Slurry Pump House. The cost of 800 kW of solar rooftops and the auxiliary services and component is estimated at INR 2.95 crore.
Submission Deadline:
The last date of the bid submission is July 10, 2020. Techno-commercial bids will be opened on July 11, 2020.
Earnest Money Deposit:
The prospective bidders have to pay the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 5 lakh. However, eligible Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) shall be entitled to exemption from submission of the EMD.
Scope of Work
The scope of work for selected developers will include design, supply, construction, commissioning of solar grid-connected power plants. Successful bidders will have a period of 4 months to complete the work on the installation of the project.
In addition to this, developers are also required to provide operation and maintenance services for the rooftop solar plant for a period of 1 year from the date of successful commissioning.
Eligibility Criteria
For eligibility, the bidder should have designed, supplied, erected/ supervised erection, commissioned/supervised commissioning, and completed O&Ms for at least one plant with a 100 kWp or above of SPV based grid-connected power plant and a cumulative capacity of 640 KWp or above.
In addition, at least six months prior to the date of the techno-commercial bid opening, a reference plant with a capacity of 100 kWp or above capacity must have been in operation with success.
Financial Criteria
Financially, the bidder’s average annual turnover should not be less than INR 3.28 crores in the three financial years preceding the date of opening of the techno-commercial bid. And, the bidder’s net worth should not be less than 100 percent of his paid share capital.
