NHDC global tenders for Empanelment of Module Manufacturers
NHDC has invited global bids for the empanelment of solar PV modules manufacturers – under two categories – for its future Solar Projects.
NHDC Limited, a JV company between NHPC Ltd and the Government of Himachal Pradesh, has issued a global tender for the empanelment of experienced and capable solar PV module manufacturers under two categories. The empaneled manufacturers will be supplying modules for the development of upcoming solar power projects of more than 600 MW by NHDC.
The NHDC will empanel the manufactures under two categories – “Category-A and Category-B”. Under the Category A, the manufacturers will need to supply modules for projects of 490 MW or more. While under Category B there is a requirement for the supply of PV modules for 175 MW of solar projects.
Submission Deadline:
The deadline for submission of applications is July 21, 2020. The applications will be opened on July 22, 2020.
Eligibility Criteria
According to the tender document, the bidders must fully meet the below given qualifying criteria for the two categories in order to get successfully registered. The selected manufacturers will be empaneled (initially) for a period of 24 months.
Earlier in June, the NHDC has issued a similar tender. However, this time the tender has been amended and invited bids for empanelment into two categories with different qualifying criteria.
Qualifying Criteria: Category A
The bidder should be the original PV module manufacturer with a module manufacturing capacity of a minimum of 400 MWp/annum.
Over the last 7 years – the bidder should have produced and delivered solar photovoltaic modules of total installed capacity of 55 MWp or above, using any rated modules or sources of indigenous and imported PV cells – in any fiscal year, as on the last day of a month prior to the date of submission of the bid.
In addition, the solar plant should have completed at least 1 year of successful operation as on due date of opening of the bid to which the bidder has manufactured and supplied solar PV modules put together using indigenous and/ or imported PV Cells of power rating 285 Wp or above.
Qualifying Criteria: Category B
The bidder should be the original PV module manufacturer with a module manufacturing capacity of a minimum of 140 MWp/annum.
Over the last 7 years – the bidder should have produced and delivered solar photovoltaic modules of total installed capacity of 20 MWp or above, using any rated modules or sources of indigenous and imported PV cells – in any fiscal year, as on the last day of a month prior to the date of submission of the bid.
In this category also, the solar plant should have completed at least 1 year of successful operation as on due date of opening of the bid to which the bidder has manufactured and supplied solar PV module put together using indigenous and/ or imported PV Cells of power rating 285 Wp or above.
