Nathpa Jhakri and Rampur plants of SJVN achieves record generation in July
SJVN records the highest monthly power generation at the Nathpa Jhakri and Rampur Hydro Power Stations in the month of July.
SJVN records the highest monthly power generation last month at the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station and Rampur Hydro Power Stations, surpassing its previous generation records.
As reported on Monday by SJVN Ltd, its 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri hydropower plant and 412 MW Rampur plant have achieved the highest ever power generation during the month of July 2021.
A power generation mark of 335.90 megawatts was reached by Rampur Hydro Power Station, while Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station generated 1,216.56 megawatts of power. Himachal Pradesh is home to both plants, SJVN Ltd said in a press statement.
This is the highest monthly power generation at the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station, surpassing the previous record of 1216.65 MU. Additionally, Rampur Hydro Power Station generated 335.90 MU of electricity in July 2020, beating the former record of 333.69 MU, the statement added.
Having a presence in several energy generation segments, including solar, wind, and hydro, the SJVN company is a joint venture of the Governments of India and Himachal Pradesh.
The company’s current installed capacity is 2,016.51 MW. It plans to reach 5,000 MW by 2023, 12,000 MW by 2030, and 25,000 MW by 2040.
