Inox Wind is awarded with 150MW wind project contract by NTPC Renewable Energy
This 150MW wind project will help NTPC in achieving their goal of 60GW of renewable energy generation by 2032
On Monday, India’s leading wind energy solutions provider Inox Wind announced that it received an order from NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd for a 150 MW wind power project. Inox Wind serve IPPs, utilities, public utilities, corporates and retail investors with their wind energy solutions.
NTPC anticipates that this 150GW wind power project will help them to achieve their goal of having 60 GW of renewable energy generation in place by 2032, which represents nearly 50% of the company’s overall power generation capacity.
This is a turnkey project that is to be executed at the Dayapar site in Kutch, Gujarat. Inox Wind will deliver and install DF 113/92 – 2.0 MW capacity Wind Turbine Generators with a rotor diameter of 113 meter diameters and a hub height of 92 metres as part of the contract.
Additionally, Inox Wind will provide in-depth operation and maintenance throughout the life of the project.
Several common infrastructure facilities, like 220 kV pooling substation at Dayapar and the extra high voltage transmission line, have already been commissioned. This allows the project to be executed on a plug-and-play basis with a shorter gestation period. Completion is expected to take place by April 2023.
Inox Wind CEO Kailash Tarachandani said “We are extremely excited to be awarded this prestigious project from NTPC. It’s a repeat order from NTPC since Inox Wind had previously completed a 50 MW turnkey wind power project for NTPC in Gujarat a few years ago, demonstrating its credentials and capability.”
