Govt of Rajasthan to sign MoUs valued INR 3.05 lakh cr for renewable energy

This projected investment in Rajasthan includes solar module manufacturing of 4GW and renewable energy projects with a capacity of 92.1 GW. 


Under the Invest Rajasthan Campaign, the government of Rajasthan plans to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with major players in the renewable energy sector, aiming to attract an investment of INR 3.05 lakh crore.

According to an official statement, five PSUs including NTPC, NHPC, SJVN Limited, THDC India Ltd., SECI and private players such as Reliance, Axis and SAEL will sign MOUs or Letters of Intent (LoI).

This projected investment in Rajasthan includes solar module manufacturing of 4GW and renewable energy projects with a capacity of 92.1 GW, together estimated to be worth INR 3.05 lakh crores. 

In order to coordinate with the investors, Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Pvt Ltd, the state’s nodal organization for Renewable Energy, will work with the Bureau of Investment Promotion which is the state nodal agency for investment promotion.

The state government was able to sign 323 Memorandums of Understanding / Letters of Intent’s worth INR 5.73 lakh crore in recent months as part of the domestic and international Investor Connect Programs that have been conducted by Industries Department under the Invest Rajasthan Campaign.

In addition, through district-held summits the state has been able to attract investments worth INR 1.33 lakh crores by signing 3272 MoU’s / LoI’s.
