Government released new list of Approved solar Modules and Manufacturers (ALMM)
The updated ALMM list has now 10,819 MW total capacity with an addition of 1,767 MW coming from Vikram Solar, Pixon Green Energy, Alpex Solar, Pahal Solar, and Novasys Greenergy.
An updated list of solar modules and domestic manufacturers (ALMMs) has been released by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for government projects.
In the detailed list shared by the ministry on 10 November 2021, a further 1,767 MW of module capacity has been added taking the total capacity on the ALMM list to 10,819 MW.
The new capacity addition of 1,767 MW module capacity to the ALMM list, comes from the domestic modules manufacturers – Vikram Solar, Pixon Green Energy, Alpex Solar, Pahal Solar, and Novasys Greenergy.
Among new entrants, Vikram Solar with its 972 MW capacity from its Chennai plant takes the lead. While, Pixon Green Energy share in new added capacity is of 355 MW from its Gujarat manufacturing plant.
Alpex Solar adds to the updated list a capacity of 240 MW, from its manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh. While Pahal Solar’s Gujarat plants, and Novasys Greenergy’s Maharashtra plant added 100 MW each to the total solar module capacity addition in the new list of ALMM.
Earlier, the government had stated that only manufacturers and modules on the ALMM list are eligible for use in government projects, schemes, and projects bidding on or after 10 April 2021.
