Gautam Solar launches upgraded version of solar pump controllers and RMU for solar PV systems

The second-generation pump controllers, features MPPT, Remote Monitoring, and Protection Devices along with  use of indigenously developed Surge Protection Devices and Antennas.

Solar manufacturer Gautam Solar, a 25+ year veteran, has announced a major upgrade of its solar pump controllers & Remote Monitoring Units for solar PV systems.

With its trailblazing products, the company will modernize the solar industry by producing pump controllers and remote monitoring units along with other various products in response to the rising demand for solar components in India.

As part of the government’s ambitious PM KUSUM program, 17.5 lakh solar pumps will be installed in off-grid areas, where grid supply cannot be provided. With the ‘Made in India’ initiative, Gautam Solar aims to share its expertise in developing and manufacturing products for the sector. Recently, the company has installed 5000+ solar pumps all over India as part of the PM-Kusum Yojana.

Designed to control 1 – 10 HP of solar pumps (DC / AC & surface / submersible), the Solar Pump Controllers have homegrown Variable Frequency Drives and Remote Monitoring Units. Solar Pump Controllers convert the DC voltage from the PV array into DC or AC, single or multi-phase power including MPPT, remote monitoring, and protection devices. In pump controllers, MPPT is an algorithm that is used to extract the maximum power from the SPV array under specific conditions. The Remote Monitoring Unit (RMU) for Solar pumps monitors Solar system performance, Pump performance, RMS performance, and Geolocation.

Farmers and solar pump system integrators will now have access to solar pump components that are compatible with one another and manufactured in India, thanks to Gautam Solar’s latest innovations. Moreover, the ease of obtaining a warranty from a trustworthy local brand would make it easy for farmers and solar pump system integrators to avoid dealing with multiple manufacturers.

Speaking to the press, Gautam Mohanka, CEO of Gautam Solar said, “It is our greatest pleasure to announce the launch of our second-generation pump controllers, which have MPPT, Remote Monitoring, and Protection Devices. This is important as 10% of the payment for the KUSUM project is tied to live integration with RMU.”

“We are thrilled to announce that more than 95% of Gautam Solar’s RMUs are integrated live on the PM-Kusum Portal, which is the highest percentage in the industry. The cash flow of solar pump system integrators working on government-funded projects is thus very smooth, enabling them to do a significant number of solar pumps” – he added.

“A key feature of the Solar Pump Controllers is the use of indigenously developed Surge Protection Devices and Antennas. These are designed particularly for use in remote areas of India where these Solar Pumps are being installed. These products were designed, developed, and manufactured in our facility. New launches from our company have been tested and approved according to MNRE (Ministry of New & Renewable Energy) standards at Labs authorized by the Government of India. Also, these products are compatible with all Solar Motor Pumps in India, including Gautam Solar Motor Pumps,” noted CEO of Gautam Solar.

Headquartered in Delhi – Gautam Solar is counted among the most technologically advanced players in the Indian market. It remains the only vertically integrated company in India to manufacture all components in the entire value chain of solar pumps, i.e. modules, motors pump, controllers, mounting structures, and HDPE pipes.

Furthermore, the company recently increased its module mounting structures from 50 to 500 Metric tons per month. This unit will manufacture structures for solar pumps, solar power plants (utility scale and rooftops) and solar street lights, as well as high masts.
